Miramar Garden Taipei had its grand opening on May 24, 2006. The Miramar Garden Hotel Taipei was built to help the government meet its Increase Tourists Plan, improve the productivity of the tourism industry and encourage the private sector to develop competitively priced hotels in Taipei. Among the seven hospitality industry companies that tendered bids in phase one of the tourism development project, Miramar Garden Taipei is the 1st BOT hotel to be completed. A joint venture of Miramar Hotel and Tze Shin International Co. Ltd. (TSI), Hotel Taipei Miramar Co. Ltd. was established in February 2004. In March the same year, a contract was signed with the Tourism Bureau and on August 3rd officially commenced operation.
