Genome International Biomedical Co. Ltd was established in January 1994 and engaged in the development of wireless communication integrated circuits. In July 1996 it set up the logical design department committed to paging IC development. At the same year it launched the first IC containing E2PROM wireless paging in Asia. In May 2000 the company made up public offering and in July it accredited with ISO 9001 quality assurance system certification. In January 2001 the company integrated SoC design technology and launched AR2000 personal digital assistants control IC. And in March by integrating Global Positioning System (GPS) decoder and a personal digital assistant controller, it launched the first integrated IC sample. In June it launched AR9201 high-speed RISC / DSP control chip and started mass production. In October the company passed OTC application for review by GreTai Securities Market and was officially listed in OTC in March 2002.
