In 1955, Mr. Ting-Fa Yang entered into a partnership and established the Sinon Chemical Factory manufacturing agricultural pesticides. That signified the beginning of the Sinon enterprise. In 1959, the partnership officially incorporated as the Sinon Chemical Co., Ltd. In 1965, the Sinon Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., reorganized two years prior, made substantial capital investments and established a new plant in Wangtien. The facility, which also included biological and chemical research laboratories, became the premier agricultural chemical factory in Taiwan. By 1978, Sinon had successfully consolidated the administration and supporting staff and relocated them into the Sinon Building in Taichung. In a move to boost its operating efficiency and to promote its market competitiveness, Sinon Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., merged with subsidiary operations of the Ming-Feng Chemical Co., Ltd., the Feng Mei Industrial Co., Ltd. And the Feng-Nien Development Co., Ltd. In 1979, the new conglomerate became known as the Sinon Co., Ltd.
