Obolon is the largest producer of beer, low-alcohol and non-alcoholic beverages in Ukraine. Also the company produces manufactured goods and snacks under the Obolonsky TM. In 1980, there was an official opening of the Kiev Brewery No. 3 and the release of the first batch of beer. In 1986, on the basis of the Kiev Brewery No. 3, the Obolon Beer and Beer Coal Association was created, which also included the Kiev Brewery No. 1, the Kiev Brewery No. 2 and the Fastivsky Brewery. In 1993 the privatized enterprise received the legal status of a closed joint-stock company. In 1996, Obolon ZAO became a co-owner of the Sevastopol Beer and Non-Alcohol Factory OJSC and the Bershad Beer Factory ZAO. For the first time in Ukraine innovations were presented in tarapakovke - filling beer in kegs and tin cans. In 1997, Obolon CJSC became a co-owner of the Akhtyrsky Brewery OJSC. In 2008, the first in Ukraine production of a packing tape based on the processing of plastic bottles was introduced. In 2011, Obolon changed the form of ownership to become a public joint stock company, and in 2017 - a private joint-stock company. Obolon Corporation unites the main plant, which is located in the city of Kiev, two remote workshops, two subsidiaries and four enterprises with corporate rights. The company is the largest exporter of beer. Beer export is carried out in 40 countries of the world.
