Corporacion Vial del Uruguay S.A. (CVU) is a private company located in Montevideo, Uruguay. It operates a Road Concession granted by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works of Uruguay. The company is currently owned by Corporación Nacional para el Desarrollo (CND), a public entity. The concession was directly assigned to CND according to public contracting regulations. CND created CVU to execute the concession contract, which was then transferred from CND to CVU with the approval of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. The directors of CVU are the same as those of CND, with one director proposed by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works. CVU's main objective is the development of national transportation infrastructure, including the construction and maintenance of roads and the operation of toll booths. The concession period is from January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2051. CVU generates revenue from tolls and subsidies provided by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works.
