Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company, located in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is a leading manufacturer of basic inorganic chemicals in the country. It was established on July 21, 1976, under Decision No. 240/HC of the General Department of Chemicals. The company initially had four subordinate units, including Bien Hoa Chemical Factory, Tan Binh Chemical Factory, Dong Nai Chemical Factory, and Thu Duc Chemical Factory. Over the years, the company expanded its operations by establishing additional units such as Bao Loc Bauxite Mine, Experimental Research Workshop, and M&E Workshop. In 1993, the company underwent a transformation from a state-owned enterprise to Southern Basic Chemical Company, following the general development direction and the need to transform the market structure. It received Business Registration number 102408 on March 5, 1993, from Ho Chi Minh City Economic Arbitration. In 2003, the company obtained Business Certificate No. 4104000071, marking the transition to the form of a one-member operation and officially becoming Southern Basic Chemicals Company Limited. Under the restructuring of Vietnam Chemical Group in 2012, Southern Basic Chemicals Co., Ltd. was converted into a joint stock company model. On July 28, 2013, Vietnam Chemical Group approved the plan to transform Southern Basic Chemicals Co., Ltd. into Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company through Decision No. 248/QD-HCVN. The General Meeting of Shareholders establishing Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company was held on December 12, 2013, and the company officially operated under the name Southern Basic Chemicals Joint Stock Company starting from January 1, 2014. The company aims to meet the needs of the domestic market and export high-quality, environmentally friendly products at reasonable prices. It has been striving and innovating to keep up with the development of the country since its establishment.
