Austrian company Austrotherm set foot on the Serbian market in 2001. The local arm, which opened its first factory in the town of Valjevo in 2003, manufactures thermal- and noise-insulating products.
In 2005, Austrotherm acquired three local plants for production of polystyrene - two in Nis and one in Srbobran. In 2006, the firm opened a representative office in Belgrade.
