Oil factory Banat was initially established in 1961 and two years later the factory started operations with an annual capacity of 7,500 tonnes of castor seeds.
It manufactures sunflower, soybean, rapeseed and pumpkin seed oil, olive oil, vegetable fats.
As of end-2004 FU Banat had a daily processing capacity of 250 tonnes of sunflower seeds.
The company operates 4 offices for the purchase of raw materials.
