In the third quarter of 2021, China’s retail sales of consumer goods reached RMB 10,615bn, which represented a y/y increase of 5%. The strong performance of the retail sector was mainly attributed to the higher income of the country‘s households. In the period, driven by the steady economic growth, China’s disposable income per capita rose by 6.3% y/y and 9% q/q to RMB 8,623.
