China Mobile Communications Equipment Sector Report 2019 4th Quarter

The revenue of China’s mobile communications equipment sector rose by 5.6% y/y in the first nine months of 2019, according to MIIT. The gross value added of communications equipment manufacturing during this period increased by 7.1% y/y. Nevertheless, the growth in revenue and gross value added was slower than in H1 2019. At end-September 2019, the total number of mobile communication base stations in China amounted to 8.08mn, 64.2% of which were 4G base stations.
