Pan Asia Bank’s total operating income jumps 34% y/y in 2018
Sri Lanka-based Pan Asia Banking Corporation saw its total operating income rise by 34% on an annual basis to LKR 8.93 billion for 2018, Daily News reported. Net interest income rose by 39% on the year to LKR 6.52 billion.
In 2018, the bank’s non-funded income went up by 22.1% year-on-year to LKR 2.41 billion. Its net trading income rose by 22% on the year to LKR 476.4 million thanks to higher net forward foreign exchange gains.
At the end of December 2018, Pan Asia Bank’s earnings stood at LKR 1.54 billion, or LKR 3.48 per share, against LKR 1.39 billion and LKR 3.31 per share a year earlier, Daily News added.
