Dar Al Takaful Pjsc, now known as Watania International Holding PJSC, is a listed company trading on the Dubai Financial Market under the ticker WATANIA. The company obtained its commercial license on July 23, 2008, and started its operations on September 1, 2008. In 2020, Dar Al Takaful acquired Noor Takaful, and in July 2022, it merged with the National Takaful Company (Watania) to become one of the largest Takaful entities in the UAE. In March 2023, the company changed its name to Watania International Holding PJSC and transformed into an investment holding company focusing on sharia-compliant investments in the Takaful and Takaful services sector. Watania International Holding is the sole shareholder of two operating companies: Watania Takaful General and Watania Takaful Family, which together form one of the leading Takaful providers in the UAE.
