Alpha Bank – Albania is the local arm of the Greece-based financial group Alpha Bank. The Greek lender, which also operates in Cyprus, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Macedonia and the United Kingdom, launched operations in Albania in 1998 with the opening of its branch in Tirana. The branch was transformed into a separate bank named Alpha Bank – Albania in December, 2006. The Albanian bank supports various infrastructure projects, including the construction of national and international roads as well as the International Airport of Tirana. Alpha Bank – Albania attends its clients through a network of about 40 outlets nationwide. The bank’s client base includes small, medium and large companies, individuals and institutions.
