Caja de Seguros S.A. starts its history back in 1915 as a state-owned banking entity named “Caja Nacional de Ahorro Postal”. It offers insurance services since 1946. The privatization process of the company started in 1992 and finished in 1993. Currently it’s one of the largest capital insurance companies in Argentina. Caja de Seguros occupies the second place in the Argentinean insurance market with a total participation of 5.9% as of June 2017. Not including the Retirement Insurance and Work Risks segments, as of that date Caja de Seguros occupies the first place in the market with a participation of 8.5%.
