Central Termica San Nicolas is a thermal power plant that uses carbon, fuel oil or natural gas. It is located in the San Nicolas de los Arroyos district on the right shore of the Parana river, in the province of Buenos Aires. It has installed capacity of 650 MW and supplies energy to the National Interconnected System in 132 and 220 Kv. It was acquired by AES in May 1993. It was AES first investment outside the U.S.A.
