Since its foundation in 1923, Mercantil Andina S. A. provides asset protection services in the province of Mendoza. Since 1958, coinciding with the start of the operations in the city of Buenos Aires, began a process of expansion and consolidation, which extended to major provinces and cities of Argentina. Its consolidated growth takes hold in 1978 when the insurance company is acquired by Grupo Pescarmona, who is now its largest shareholder.
