In 1984, Los Grobo Agropecuaria was founded, a family business that then had only 5 employees, 1 truck and cultivated only 3,500 hectares. Ten years after its foundation, Los Grobo began to cultivate almost 70,000 hectares, improving the company's quality and productivity. In 2001, the company received ISO 9001.2000 certification, becoming the first field farming company in the world to do so. Grupo Los Grobo was founded by the union of two brothers as partners. The company also operates in Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil. In 2013 they acquired Agrofina, a leading company in the crop protection business, which also has research activities.
