Molinos Río de la Plata S.A., headquartered in Victoria, Buenos Aires, Argentina, is one of the country’s largest and most historic food companies. The company operates in the industrialization and commercialization of food and beverages, both domestically and internationally, through two main segments: Branded Products and Generic Products. Its product portfolio includes edible oils, pasta, rice, flour, frozen foods, premixes, yerba mate, coffee, sausages, and wines, among others. Molinos owns and operates 14 industrial plants across Argentina and exports to over 45 countries. Its most iconic and recognizable brands include Matarazzo, Lucchetti, Granja del Sol, Gallo, Exquisita, Cocinero, Don Vicente, Arlistán, Preferido, Lira, and Ruca Malen. The company is majority-owned by the Pérez Companc family, which acquired a controlling stake from Bunge International in 1999, and it is currently led by Luis Pérez Companc as Chairman. Molinos traces its roots back to 1902, when it was part of the Bunge & Born conglomerate, a key player in Argentina’s grain export and milling industry. Over the decades, it evolved into a national leader in packaged foods, pioneering the production of sunflower oil and expanding into frozen and ready-to-eat meals.
