The Bank s principal activity is commercial and retail baking operations within the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Bank has operated under a full banking license issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan since 30 December 1992. The Bank participates in the State deposit insurance scheme, which was introduced by the Azeri Law, Deposits of Individuals insurance in Azerbaijan Republic dated 29 December 2008. The State Deposit Insurance Fund guarantees repayment of 100 of individual deposits in the following order:
- until 1 Jan 2008 - up to AZN 4000
- from 1 Jan 2008 - 1 Jan 2010 - up to AZN 6000
- 1 Jan 2010 onwards - up to AZN 30,000
The Bank has eleven branches within the Republic of Azerbaijan. Out of which 6 are located in Baku. The Bank is ultimately controlled by Mr. Nazim Sadigov.
