The metal products manufacturer Metal AD, which was founded in 1957, is based in the northern town of Gradiska in Bosnia's Serb Republic. In 1971, it was transformed into a unit of the RMK Zenica steel producer and during the 1970-80s the company established itself as one of the leading fabricated metal products producers in former Yugoslavia. The company produces pipes and fabricated metal products including chairs, beds, garden tools and other household machinery. In 1991, it was transformed into a joint-stock company. The company was listed on the fledgling Banja Luka stock exchange in October 2002. Metal AD exports its products to Canada, Italy, the CIS countries and Greece.
