The Bosnian Serb state-owned postal company Srpske Poste was established in December 1996 after the former post and telecommunications monopoly PTT was split into two units. Srpske Poste operates a network of nearly 300 offices and nearly 500 post boxes nationwide. The annually processes around 13 million letters and parcels. Srpske Poste is one of the three postal operators in Bosnia, along with BH Posta Sarajevo and Hrvatska Posta Mostar.
