The Company is a manufacturer and marketer of well-known consumer brand like Parachute, Parachute Beliphool, Aeromtic, Hair Code, Parachute Advansed, Parachute Therapie, Parachute Hair Cream, Parachute After Shower Gel, Camelia and diversified chemicals.
The Company was incorporated on 6 September, 1999 in Bangladesh, Commenced it s operation in 2000 and was quoted on Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange in 2009.
The Company s registered office is House 01, Road 01, Sector 01, 4th and 5th floors, Uttara Model Town, Dhaka- 1230. Earlier, the registered address was at 272, Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka-1208 which was changed to the current place on July 2, 2008.
The financial statements were prepared on the basis of accounting year for twelve months from October 1 to September 30 and year ended September 30, 2009. The board has approved a change in the accounting year of the company to commence from April 1 and end on March 31, so as to align it with the accounting year of the holding company, Marico Limited. Therefore, your company has consolidated financial statements and annual report for the period from October 2009 to March 2011 (18 months) for the reporting period and has subsequently commenced the new accounting year from April 1, 2011 onwards for 12 months each.
