National Tubes Limited is a pipe manufacturing company located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1964 as a private enterprise and was later nationalized and placed under the Bangladesh Steel & Engineering Corporation in 1972. In 1989, it became a public limited company by off-loading 49 percent of its shares to the general public. The company is managed by a sovereign Board of Directors. The factory is situated on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on 14.31 acres of land in the Tongi Industrial Area, 20 km north of the capital city. The company consists of three units, with a total welding capacity of 39,000 metric tons per year. National Tubes Limited manufactures quality API, ASTM A 53 B, Marine Grade, MS, and GI pipes. Its main customers include gas transmission and distribution companies, sugar mills, manufacturing industries, and real estate companies. The company employs approximately 285 people.
