The Company is engaged in manufacturing and marketing ceramics tiles, bathroom sets and all types of sanitary ware. It has started its commercial production on 12 November 2000. The commercial production of its new sanitary ware plant, expansion unit of ceramics facilities, tiles, and sanitary plant was started on 10 January 2004, 1 July 2004, 1 September 2007 and 1 April 2015 respectively.
The Company was incorporated in Bangladesh on 26 November 1998 as a Private Company limited by shares under the Companies Act, 1994.
The Company was later converted from a Private Limited into a Public Limited on 10 June 2008 after observance of required formalities as per laws.
The Company was listed on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on 13 June 2010.
The Company changed its name from RAK CERAMICS (BANGLADESH) PVT. LIMITED to RAK CERAMICS (BANGLADESH) LIMITED on 2 November 2009.
