Akumplast AD is a private company founded in the early 1980s. The company's main goal is the production of plastic battery cases made of polypropylene. Akumplast AD is known for being the first company in Bulgaria to produce battery cases made of polypropylene, replacing the previously used ebonite cases. Over the years, the company has specialized in the production of polypropylene cases, lids, and accessories for lead-acid starter and traction batteries. In the early 21st century, the company expanded its product range to include solid plastic packaging, such as crates for the food and beverage industry, agriculture, and other sectors. They also introduced a variety of technical products made from engineering plastics such as PA, ABS, PS, PC, PMMA, EVA, and others. Akumplast AD has the capacity to produce tooling equipment, including injection molds, which allows them to complete the entire production cycle from 3D modeling to the manufacturing of the final plastic product. The company takes responsibility for preserving the fragile balance in the ecological equilibrium by recycling 100% of its generated plastic waste and plastic waste accumulated in the surrounding environment.
