Balkankeramik, which was established in 1959, is a middle-sized manufacturer of concrete roof tiles and lids, ceramic bricks, fireclay bricks for tennis courts.
Its monthly production capacity stands at 220,000 roof tiles in addition to 180,000 small and 160,000 large bricks.
The company, located near the capital Sofia, spans over 199,000 square metres and operates a 500,000 square metres clay pit taken under a 35-year concession.
The bulk of the production is sold on the local market via the distribution network of local fuel retailer Toplivo, as both companies are majority-owned by Bulgarian private industrial group Synergon Holding.
Exports are conducted to Greece and Macedonia.
