Ficosota Syntez, established in 1994 as part of local Ficosota Holding, is a designer, developer and distributor of household and personal care products. The company manufactures and markets an array of products for home and personal care.
Major products include Teo, Fiona, Tete-a-tete soaps, Everbel sanitary napkins and Teo Botanical shampoo. Its home care products include laundry and dishwashing detergents, cleansers and cleaners, bleaches and other similar items. These products are offered under various brands, including Exo, Feya, Semana, Blazy, Tema, Milde and Savex.
In 2006 the company bought Ukrainian hygiene products maker UPP. Ficosota announced plans to invest some EUR 20 million in new production facilities in Bulgaria and Ukraine between 2006 and 2008.
In January 2008 the company bought 50.1% of Ukrainian detergents maker Onyx for an undisclosed sum.
In 2012 Ficosota acquired the full stake in local food producer Ital Foods Industries. Among the major brands of the purchased company are Maretti, Kubeti and Tornado snacks and Motto wafers.
