INTRACOM Bulgaria, which was established in 1995, is a subsidiary of Greek telecoms equipment manufacturer INTRACOM.
The company focuses on design and delivery of technology and turn-key projects in the field of telecommunications, mobile networks, IT, public administration, banking & finance, tourism and construction.
In 1998, INTRACOM Bulgaria signed a contract with local fixed-line telecom monopoly BTC to construct a Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) link with total length of 285 kilometres, connecting 10 towns.
Since June 2003, the company provides services to Bulgaria's second GSM operator GloBul.
In December 2004, INTRACOM signed a contract to build a EUR 900,000 integrated database for the Bulgarian judicial system.
As of end-2009, the company has 4 regional offices - in Plovdiv, Varna, Rousse and Montana, as well as 6 local offices - in Bourgas, Sliven, Gotse Delchev, Smolyan, Pleven and Sofia.
Intracom Bulgaria reported revenues of BGN 24.394 million for 2009, against BGN 20.297 million for the previous year. According to the annual report of the company, there is a BGN 2 million growth in the net profit for 2009, comparing to 2008.
