The glass fibre wadding producer Sinergia Invest Holding AD, formerly Simat AD was established in 1938.
In April 2007, Bulgarian firm Bik Bild has sold its 33.96% stake in Simat to metals trader Maicromet for EUR 230,000. The seller, owned by Bulgarian Holding Company, bought the stake in the glass products maker for EUR 153,864 in December 2006.
In 2010 the company temporarily stopped its production activity.
