Sofiyski Imoti (Sofia Estates), founded in 1995, is a company owned by Sofia municipality, dealing with all kinds of real estate activities. During 2001-2003, Sofiyski Imoti was among the largest sellers of real estates and plots in Sofia.
The company was often blamed for the non-transparent way of signing deals and contracts, and for barter deals. After a huge scandal broke out in Dec 2003, the whole board of the company was dismissed.
