Solid-55 OOD (Bulgaria)

Bulgarian door maker Solid 55 was established in 1990 in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. The company produces armoured and intelligent doors, interior doors, metal doors under the FeRi brand, and garage doors.
In 1993 the company started manufacturing armoured doors with natural wood coating. Over the next years, Solid worked on widening its retail and warehouse network and patented a new armoured door in 1998.
The company started developing its own automatic locking system in 2002. A year later Solid launched, FeRi, its new trade mark for metal doors for homes and industrial sites. In 2004, the company invested heavily in production process improvement which resulted in a 50% increase in output. Solid 55 started exports to Greece and Serbia also in 2004. In 2005, the company opened a new Production and administration complex, covering a total area of 4,800 sq m.
