Spartak AD, which was established in 1928, is a manufacturer specialised in the provision of electronics.
The firm, headquartered in the Black Sea port of Burgas, produces fans, burners and air heating equipment as well as metal products including stillages, gun cabinets and furniture legs.
In 2005, ventilation electronics accounted for approximately 30% of total company sales, while the rest of the production came from orders by western European firms.
Spartak, which exports some 75% of its production, is controlled by local Albena Invest Holding.
The holding firm, formerly a privatisation fund, acquired the stake under Bulgaria's mass privatisation programme in 1997.
