The system of military repair plants, whose successor is Terem, was established in 1965 as a permanent structure bringing together the military repair plants of Ministry of Defense and providing the needs for repair of armament and equipment of the Bulgarian Army. Terem is a holding company, transformed into a single-stock company with 100% state ownership in 1998.
The company specialises in the repair, modernisation and logistical support of: aviation equipment; naval equipment; auto-armored equipment; arms, artillery, rocket weapons and ammunition; radar and communication equipment. Registered are 13 branches of the company in the country with a different activity in the repair of weapons and equipment.
