Bahrain Maritime and Mercantile International is a closed shareholding company registered in Bahrain accordance with the provisions of the Bahrain Commercial Companies Law 1975. The company is involved in the wholesaling and retailing of food, beverages and other consumable items. It also provides services in insurance, travel, shipping and engineering. The company continued to grow and in 1999 the Inchcape Group, as part of their disinvestment's in the region, sold the company to the local Bahraini shareholders. The company for the first time became a wholly owned Bahraini company. The Company’s business activities are structured into five main divisions: supply chain, contractual business, beverages, food & household goods and supermarkets and mall management.
