Carbogas was established in 1976 and already has its own thermochemical projects operating. The company's main business constituted the fabrication of industrial plants for the conversion of mineral coal into fuel gas. In 2000, Carbogas Energia made its own lab plant in Maua - SP, with installed power of 1MWth. In 2007, a partnership was signed with Vale for gasification studies in hydraulic bed with industrial waste. Before 2016, several improvements were made in the unit to convert industrial and urban solid waste to synthesis gas. In parallel, the process for the transformation of waste into fuels was developed and optimized, forming an automated line for the production of the CDR - Waste Derivative Fuel. This CDR was used as a fuel in all carbogas Energia tests. This team carried out a test plan with measurements of the gases in the oxidation of the synthesis gas from the thermochemical treatment of urban waste in the chimney to control all atmospheric emissions. Therefore, Carbogas Energia currently develops sustainable solutions for the final disposal of urban and industrial solid waste in order to increase economic and environmental sustainability by providing a clean final disposal for these wastes, in accordance with national and international environmental regulations and resolutions, such as the 2030 United Nations Agenda.
