Consorcio Sul de Gato do Mato (Brazil)

Consórcio Sul de Gato do Mato is a joint venture of international and domestic oil and gas companies established to develop an offshore oil and gas exploration and production project in the pre-salt Santos Basin, in deep waters off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The consortium brings together major upstream energy players with the capital and technical capabilities needed to explore and produce hydrocarbons in deepwater environments. The consortium includes experienced oil and gas operators collaborating on well planning, drilling, offshore infrastructure installation and production technology to optimize hydrocarbon output. The aim is to maximize the extraction of energy resources in the “Sul de Gato do Mato” block, which forms part of a larger project that combines adjacent blocks with substantial recoverable resources. Projects of this nature involve geological studies, production engineering, operational risk management and integration with broader energy sector value chains.
