Estaleiro Atlantico Sul SA was established in November 2005 and aims to be the largest and most modern company in the shipbuilding industry and offshore in the hemisphere where it is located. The project is the result of investments of R $ 1.8 billion and has an installed processing capacity of approximately 160,000 tons of steel per year. The company produces all kinds of cargo ships up to 500,000 tons of deadweight, as well as offshore platforms of the semi-submersible types of offshore floating units for storage and production, tension-leg platforms, among others.
