In the field of nephrology, Farmarin has been a pioneer in the production of polyelectrolytic concentrations for hemodialysis - CPHD in the national market since 1988. The company, originally founded to supply some hemodialysis centres in the city of So Paulo, has grown exponentially in response to the growing demand for its products over the years. In 2000 it changed its operations to the city of Guarulhos and began to produce on a granular scale to the national and international market. Currently it invests in new products to meet the medical area of the country. In 2012 it was acquired by Medifarma S.A., the largest pharmaceutical industry in Peru, which has been in business since 1964. Medifarma has made major investments in Farmarin infrastructure, state-of-the-art technology and specialized human capital, according to its standards of quality and development of new product lines. It has a large portfolio of pharmaceutical products, including injectable and oral medicines, anti-inflammatory, anti-inflammatory, parenteral solutions of large and small volumes, among others.
