The CAOA group began operating in 1979 and in 1992, CAOA became official and exclusive importer of Renault in the country. In 1998, CAOA became the official importer of Subaru brand. In 1999, it was the turn of Hyundai, which had been represented by two other distributors. In 2006, the remains CAOA Ford dealer in all of Latin America, and is the exclusive importer and distributor of Subaru and Hyundai brands across the country.
