Created following the privatisation of Sodesucre and a SIFCA affiliate since 1997, La Compagnie Sucriere Ivoirienne Sa (SUCRIVOIRE) exploits sugar cane plantations, as well as processes and sells cane sugar. The company owns more than 14,044 ha of industrial plantations plus two Integrated Agro Centres (Borotou-Koro and Zuénoula). During the 2016-2017 campaign, SUCRIVOIRE produced 91,479 tons of sugar. The company has more than 700 permanent employees, supplemented by over 6,000 seasonal hires needed for the most part during the 7-month yearly production period.
