Falabella is one of the largest and most consolidated companies in Latin America. It develops its commercial activity through several business areas, the main ones being the department stores, great surfaces, improvement and construction of the home, commercial financing company CMR, bank, trips and insurance Falabella. Its department stores are today, the most important in South America with more than 65,000 employees with presence in Chile, Argentina, Peru and Colombia. The company's origin goes back to 1889, when Salvatore Falabella opens the first large tailor shop in Chile. Subsequently, with the joining of Alberto Solari, the store is further strengthened by introducing new products related to the wardrobe and home, transforming itself into a department store and expanding its coverage with new outlets. In 2003 the group merges with Sodimac S.A. which allowed it, years later, to enter such important markets such as the Colombian one.
