Gesex S.A. is a company located in Buin, Chile. It was founded in 1998 by two businessmen from the agricultural sector with the goal of managing the commercialization of fruit in a transparent manner with producers. The company focuses on creating value throughout the marketing chain through logistics and distribution networks. Gesex S.A. offers products with a quality above the industry average. In 2012, Gesex S.A. acquired a second plant called Fatima plant, located in the commune of Paine, through Multifruta S.A. This acquisition allowed the company to expand its cold stores and add new species, such as peaches, citrus fruits, and cherries, to its list of exported products. Over time, more producers joined Gesex S.A., leading to the association with Multifruta S.A. in the year 2000. This partnership aimed to optimize processes, improve logistics, and meet customer requirements. The strategic location of the plant in Linderos, Buin commune, allowed for shorter transport times to ports and airports, giving Gesex S.A. a competitive advantage over other exporters. Currently, Gesex S.A. is a consolidated group consisting of 9 producers. It is the 7th largest exporter in volume and has the highest producer returns in the industry. The company has expanded its operations by building its own process plant in Melipilla and investing in a field in Piura, Peru, in partnership with the San Jose agricultural company. Gesex S.A. also has three commercial offices abroad, which have facilitated communication with customers and market knowledge. After 20 years, Gesex S.A. considers itself a leader in the export of fresh fruit, with a presence in demanding markets worldwide.
