The history of the company begins in 1916 when a group of young Germans decided to form a football club called "Deutsche Fussball - Mannschaft Santiago". It became the main sport club of Chilean-German character where many social activities were organized outdoors. This success ceased in 1943, when the suspension of diplomatic relations between Germany and Chile was announced despite the fact that Chile had a neutral position during the Second World War. On June 1, 1948, the Sociedad Anónima de Deportes Manquehue S.A. was founded. Inmobiliaria Las Condes S.A. ceded the farm "Lo Garcés" and many sports and social spaces were built on this land, making the club one of the best known in Chile today.
