Empresa de Transmision Electrica TRANSEMEL S.A. is a Chile-based company, which is subsidiary of EMEL NORTE serving transmission and transformation of electricity in the Sistema Interconectado del Norte Grande (SING). The company has three transformer substations of 220 kV, located in the cities of Arica, Iquique and Antofagasta. These substations transform the energy provided by generators and delivered to the electric distribution companies EMELARI, Eliqsa and ELECDA through a transmission system of 66 kV and 110 kV, composed of approximately 74 km of lines and transformation capacity 510 MVA.
