With the approval of China Securities Regulatory Commission, the company’s A shares were listed on Shanghai Stock Exchange on May 28, 1997. The company is principally engaged in the production and sale of chemical products, chemical fiber products and construction materials. It primarily provides polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), super chopped PVA fibers, cement, clinker, polyester slices, calcium carbide, as well as vinyl acetate-ethylene (VAE) emulsion, among others. The company distributes its products in the domestic market and to overseas markets. As of December 31, 2010, the company had four subsidiaries.
