The company is a super large research and production integrated aviation industrial enterprise. It is the large and medium civil and military aircraft development and manufacturing base of China as well as national grade 1 enterprise. In 2007 the company completed the private placement. Aircraft-related assets of Xi'an Aircraft Corporation have been integrated into the company business which has completed its industrial chain. Thus the company operations have switched from domestic and foreign contracting aircraft parts and components production-oriented to whole aircraft manufacturing and foreign contracting aircraft parts and components oriented. Productions include substantial portion of the aircraft parts contracting business, manufacturing of regional aircraft Xinzhou 60 and ARJ2 (except the assembly of ARJ21). It has become the first listed whole aircraft manufacturer (both civil aircraft military aircraft) in China. With the implementation of China’s large aircraft strategy, the company is now actively involving in major aircraft development and production projects.
