The company is one of the leading domestic manufacturers of transformers of 750kV, 500kV and below. It is a qualified product and service suppler for nuclear power plant as well as a major manufacturer of thermal power and hydropower generating units of 1000MW and below. Large thermal power transformers, nuclear power transformers and power transmission transformer unit made by the companies have been exported to U.S., Pakistan, Iran and other more than 30 countries. Holding 51% shares of Tianweiyingli New Energy Company and with its solar projects in operation, the company has become equally focusing on both electrical business and solar cell business. In September 2007, major shareholder Tianwei Group transferred all its state-owned shares to China South Industries Group Corporation and the group has promised to invest not less than RMB30000 million to Tianwei Group by the end of 2015.
