Jiangsu Changshu Rural Commercial Bank Co., Ltd, also known as Changshu Rural Commercial Bank, was established on November 28, 2001, in Changshu, Jiangsu. It was one of the first rural financial institutions to be restructured as a joint-stock company and was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on September 30, 2016 (stock code: 601128). The bank has been a pioneer in rural financial reform, introducing strategic investor Bank of Communications as its largest shareholder and investing in seven rural financial institutions. As of the end of March 2023, Changshu Rural Commercial Bank (Group) had total assets of 317 billion yuan, total deposits of 240.2 billion yuan, and total loans of 204.5 billion yuan. The bank has a dedicated focus on serving small and micro enterprises. It established a specialized microloan department in 2009 and developed advanced microloan core technology, serving over 430,000 loan customers.
