Banco Davivienda was founded in October 1972 under the name of "Corporacion Colombiana de Ahorro y Vivienda-Coldeharro”. However, on January 30, 1973, the organization changed its name to "Corporacion Colombiana de Ahorro y Vivienda - Davivienda. It offers financial services targeted to individuals and families and promotes savings and housing finance.
On one side, it offers Personal Banking services: savings and investment, housing credit, consumer credit, credit cards, debit cards, international money orders, personal banking portfolio; and on the other there are Business Banking services, such as: transaction services, savings and investment, credit lines, SEBRA, security transportation.
It is part of the Bolivar Group. The bank has more that 6.6 million clients, 743 offices and 2000 ATM machines.
