Tecnoquimicas S.A. (Colombia)

Tecnoquimicas S.A, founded in 1957 by the merger of Colombian Sales Company and Laboratorios Fixalia is a company dedicated to producing and commercialization of products and services in the areas of health, personal care and cleanliness of the home, processed foods and agricultural and veterinary products. In 1993 acquired the companies Organizacion Farmeceutica Colombiana S.A. and Distribuidora Farmaceutica Calox Colombia S.A. and with them an important group of national brands as Sal de Frutas Lua, Yodora and Blankisima. Also It acquired the brand MK in order to manufacture and market generic pharmaceutical products for human and veterinary use in Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. In 1996 started the production of Winny and Velty brands in Tecnosur, partnership between Colombiana Kimberly Colpapel and Tecnoquimicas. In 1999 it bought the brand Colbon. in 2000, acquired from Tootsie Roll Inc the franchise Charms. in July 2008, IFC became a partner in the company. Teramed, a company in the pharmaceutical sector in El Salvador, was acquired in 2009, initiating a strong presence in Central America.
